About Us

An Anglican congregation was established in 1904 but the first St. Mary's church was not built until 1914. It was rebuilt in 1965, and stands at the corner of 51 Street and 49 Avenue. It is light and airy inside with a rectangular sanctuary with seating on three sides. About 200 can be accomodated. A lovely hall is adjacent with sidewalk level entry, allowing good disabled access. There are offices upstairs and Sunday School rooms on the lower level. The hall is well-used, especially for funeral teas, being next to the funeral home.

Our Business

Our purpose is to make disciples of Jesus Christ, and to further the Kingdom. We believe in the importance of preaching and teaching the gospel, in order to arrive at a good understanding of the historical person of Jesus. Our love of the Lord motivates us to be involved in various outreach programs in the community. We try to live our lives in a way that is consistent with the spirit of Christ.

Who We Are

Our worshippers come from various backgrounds and have interesting stories to tell.

Informality seems to be a characteristic, as well as a sense of humour. We are a pleasant bunch and enjoy the social side of church membership.

A number of people have parts to play in the worship; reading Scripture lessons, leading the prayers, assisting with Communion, and singing special music.
